In Luxembourg, more than 2,000 adults and children are facing a cancer diagnosis every year. Research institutes have definitely made great progress over the last few years, yet today only 3 out of 5 cancers can be cured. The Télévie movement, established in 1989 in Belgium, supports cancer research. In 2002 the organisation Télévie Luxembourg Asbl joined the cause, focusing their support essentially on Leukaemia research. This year, CMCM participated in the RTL Telethon on April 22 and presented the Télévie organisation with a cheque of €10,000.
