Adventurous eaters, that is people who often try new and unusual food, often live healthier lives according to the researchers at the Food and Brand Lab at Ornell University in New York. Their study shows that people who like to experiment get more pleasure out of eating. They don’t stick out their tongues to unusual dishes such as kimchi, polenta, seitan or beef tongue, and as a result they usually have a lower body mass index (BMI) than those who are less daring. These results are very enlightening, especially for people who are dieting, because they show that an experimental diet is particularly suitable for women who’d like to lose or maintain their current weight.
